To all my family, friends and supporters:

Thank you all so very much for your hard work and support these last six years and especially the past few months. I could not have won re-election without your help. This campaign came down to one unwavering theme, how to get this state moving forward after six years of mismanagement. The vote totals last night told us that the citizens of Illinois want change. This change is not only in Washington but also in Springfield. I do not take your faith in me lightly. I will work every day to help move this state forward.

Rep. Ed Sullivan

Dear Illinois resident,

I realize our country and state faces uncertain times.  Many of you have seen your savings vanish practically overnight.  Some of you may be fearful of losing your jobs and making ends meet.  As your State Representative I am mindful of the enormous pressures these uncertain times bring.  I pledge to you, as a member of the House Revenue Committee that oversees all tax policy in the State of Illinois, I will not vote to increase your income tax burden.

Please take a moment to watch the video below.  The Democrat leaders in this state have a plan to raise the states income tax 33% from the current 3% level to 4%.

Thank you for your time and please remember to vote Republican!

Rep. Ed Sullivan

Ed Sullivan has a good grasp of important issues affecting the state.

The Republican is clear on the top two concerns: the economy and the debt. “We have an anti-business culture in the state,” he said — and he’s right…

Sullivan is also the Fremont Township assessor… gives him a strong understanding of one of the most important issues out there — property taxes — and makes him an expert in this crucial matter in the state capital.

Illinois House Republicans are saying the right things on what the state must do to honor its commitments to the public to be ethically and fiscally responsible in managing tax dollars and providing services.

The question is if a public that is disgusted with the state of affairs in Springfield will warm to these reforms. And, in turn, to the state Republicans proposing them. In that regard, there is not an item on the Republicans’ agenda that the public should have trouble embracing.
